Platform tubs are excellent for deck structures, as they usually come with their own enclosure; and they are commonly adjacent to showers. Air baths and whirlpools can really benefit from them, because the deck structure provides enough space to hide plumbing fixtures, pumps, and any sort of hardware which needs to be accessible, but not seen.
If you want something vintage, you may prefer a slipper tub. You can also add some kind of niche so that everything necessary will be within arm’s reach. Fill niche with bottles of your favorite salts and bath foam. It may seem quite regular at the first glance, but you can spruce it up by adding sliding glass door or tiling the wall behind with vibrant colors.
Choosing material is much easier than choosing a type. Once you have determined the type, you’ll have no more than two/three choices to go through. We’ll present you with the most common materials, together with their advantages/disadvantages; and suitability for different types of tubs.
If you’re a lucky one who has a window in a bathroom, you may place the tub right below it in the spotlight. Even if tub itself is tiled in the same color as the rest of the room it will still look very elegant. You can enjoy the look of your backyard or flower beds while indulging yourself with the hot bathroom shimmering with suds if you choose under mount type of tub. Designs may vary from stone to wood panels. You can also install faucets in the middle so that there’s enough place for two.
The reason why many people choose corner-fit tubs is that they apparently save space. There is a good reason to use the word ‘apparently’-corner tubs ‘swallow’ a lot of your floor space; and they are much more beautiful than functional. Still, why not using those two magnificent corner windows in your bathroom; and installing a corner tub from where you could enjoy a breathtaking view?
We dedicate much time to work, family, kids and other everyday things. Don’t we deserve some time for relaxation and self-pampering at the end of the day? Of course, we do. It’s only up to you which bathtub design you choose: a charming clawfoot tub with brass feet, a flat-bottom tub in the center of the room, a garden tub to enjoy the view of your impeccable flower beds or a tub with air and water jets which will help to relax your muscles and ease the tension.
